The Society of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, brought together by the DEEE is an organization that works for the development of the department and that of the students as well. Individual and department goals are considered and kept in mind while organizing the many activities.
Ripples, an intra department technical symposium, conducted during the months of October to November focuses on bringing out the talents of every student in the department. It precedes Waves, a national level technical symposium that is conducted in the even semester. Students compete with the peers and are judged based on their problem solving skills and their aptitude to perform under pressure. To name a few, Robonoids, Paper presentations and project displays are some of the competitions held at the symposium. Apart from the above, activities and workshops are organized throughout the year by the HOBBEEE club. The are conducted as educational programmes after college hours for the benefit of interested students.

Waves '08 was a great success. Thanks to all the participants, student volunteers and our teachers.
A national level technical symposium, Waves 08 is a platform for the interested to come out with their originality and problem solving skills in the myriad competitions conducted. The event was held on 22nd and 23rd of March 2008.
